KISTERS has updated its 3DViewStation importer for the Jupiter Tessellation (JT) file format.
The new JT importer maximizes efficiency under multithreading demands. Optimal core performance results in fast loading of complex JT models—complete with geometry and product and manufacturing information (PMI).
“Users can be confident they’re making precise and reliable decisions based on fully loaded data, and at a speed unmatched by any other CAD viewers on the market,” says Craig Impastato, U.S. sales director.
Other features revolutionize working with JT data. Automatic reorientation of the PMI ensures the data are readable from the current camera perspective. The “Intelligent Fit” feature automatically adjusts the view, so even small details and PMIs remain optimally visible. In addition, retain background colors—nearly or exactly—to support realistic representation.
The JT file format is an open data standard, developed by Siemens for product lifecycle management (PLM). The binary format and compression make it ideal for three-dimensional data visualization and exchange. With adoption of digital mockups, JT data is critical to leading manufacturing companies in automotive, aerospace, and mechanical engineering industries. JT’s lightweight structure avoids slow processing times and storage space demands of native CAD formats. The combination of 3DViewStation and JT files offers comparable geometry to STEP files.
3DViewStation developers continue to support a range of standard CAD data formats such as STEP. KISTERS ensures realistic and detail-focused user experience that enhances collaboration and protects intellectual property.
