Airwolf 3D Launches Entry-Level AW3D HDL Printer

Airwolf 3D has added the AW3D HDL to its line of desktop 3D printers. The HDL delivers the same award-winning quality and technical support as the company’s high-end 3D units with scalability to add more features, the company states.

The HDL has a build envelope of 12 x 8 x 11 inches, and a layer-to-layer resolution as fine as 0.08 mm. It comes fully assembled and calibrated, and can use print media such as PLA (ploylactic acid), LayBrick, LayWood, BronzeFill and TPE and TPU filaments.

For software, Airwolf 3D offers MatterControl PRO for organizing and managing of all 3D prints. The printer is ideal for educators, professionals and resellers and has a starting price of $2,295. Users can also choose to add the jam-resistant JRx hot end or dual hot end that can print engineering-grad filaments such as polycarbonate and Bridge nylon.
