Open Design Alliance Updates Teigha

The software has a new clipping interface and over 400 bug fixes.

The Open Design Alliance (ODA) has released version 4.1.1 of Teigha, its software development platform for engineering applications.

Teigha 4.1.1 features a new clipping engine that provides improved performance and precision for multi-stage clipping, support for analytic geometry, and a more flexible client API (application programming interface). Also included are enhancements for both 2D and 3D PDF export, improvements to DGN import, and new support for iOS 9.1.

In addition, Teigha 4.1.1 contains improved documentation, resulting from an increase in resources applied to this area in 2015 and the adoption of a new documentation generation toolset.

“The new clipping engine in Teigha 4.1.1 will directly improve performance and quality for Teigha-based rendering applications, as well as providing more powerful clipping options for API clients,” said Neil Peterson, president, ODA. “With the new clipping support and other enhancements, we are expecting quick adoption of 4.1.1. I am also pleased with our documentation improvements. Historically Teigha has been intended primarily for experienced developers, but in recent years we have increased our focus on new users. Our increased documentation resources and new toolset allow us to generate high-quality documentation at a faster pace, and to deliver a more professional final product.”

The software also has fixes for nearly 400 issues reported by users.
