AON3D announces the immediate availability of the AON-M2 2020, the latest printer in their flagship line for industrial 3D printing of ultra-high-performance plastics. The AON-M2 2020 is a high-temperature printer designed to work with a wide variety of plastics including several ultra-high-performance open standards materials. It also works with carbon fiber-filled variants.

The AON-M2 2020 was designed for part accuracy and repeatability, as well as reliability in industrial settings. The chamber is all stainless steel with minimal thermal expansion, built around a new convective flow path. The unit can be ready for first print in less than 15 minutes, running at a constant 135℃ chamber temperature.

Dual independent tool heads allow the user to design parts requiring multiple materials, including soluble supports, or to switch quickly between two different nozzle sizes.

AON3D says the stepper motors and both hot ends are cooled with a liquid cooling loop, which the company says extends component lifetimes and provides accurate control over the melt zone during extrusion.

AON3D works closely with the open materials community to help develop optimized process parameters for materials vendors, including Solvay, SABIC, Kimya, DSM and Infinite Materials Solutions. Among the hundreds of supported plastics are various polycarbonates, PEEK, PEKK and ULTEM. This support gives users the freedom to choose the exact plastic needed for any project.

The AON-M2 2020 build chamber is 18x18x25-in., allowing larger items or batch runs of smaller parts. The printer supports a filament size of 1.75 mm.

AON3D says creating an industrial 3D printing platform with open materials requires the company to provide expert support for the many combinations its users might need. Expert materials and engineering support—and training—comes with every machine.

The maximum print speed is 500 mm/s. Z layer height is ≥0.05 mm to 0.5 mm.

Simplify3D slicing software is included with each printer.

AON-M2 2020 is now available directly from AON3D.
